Welcome to the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Canberra

Established in 1949, the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Canberra is one of Sri Lanka’s earliest overseas diplomatic missions. It serves as a vital conduit for strengthening the longstanding relationship between Sri Lanka and Australia, a partnership grounded in shared democratic values, growing economic linkages, and enduring people-to-people ties.

The High Commission is committed to advancing bilateral engagement across a broad spectrum of domains, including political, security, educational, economic and cultural cooperation, while fostering strong connectivity between the peoples of Sri Lanka and Australia. The High Commission of Sri Lanka is also accredited to Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.
